Creating Spaces
When you log onto The Client Space, you are taken to your dashboard, which shows your list of existing client spaces and how many you have left. To create a new one, simply click on the "add new space" link. Enter in the client's name, a username and password for that client, and their e-mail address, so they can be notifed about their new access credentials.
Uploading Media
To upload media for a client, start by visiting your dashboard. On the right side of each client name, you'll see a small play button, which launches you into that client's space. Once inside, you can click on the "Upload" link on the upper-right hand corner. Just click on the browse button, and select one or multiple files from your folder and upload them. Wait until your files have finished uploading, and then return to the folder view to see your newly uploaded materials.
Customizing Your Design
One of the nice features with The Client Space is the ability to brand your web portal as your own. You can upload your own logo, your own background, and choose between a variety of color schemes - all tools that help make your client space look and feel like it's part of your website. Want to integrate it further? Design a "client login" button on your own site to create a seamless transition from your own site into your Client Space.
The Client Interface
If you upload video, your clients can view that video and comment on it. If you're uploading a photo gallery, The Client Space has built-in tools to handle that as well. And - if you're a Web or graphic designer, you can try out the Design Slideshow, which presents designs in an easy-to-navigate presentable format, packaged together with a commenting feature and scrolling capabilities, to make your image-based designs look and feel like a full website.
The Design Slideshow
One of the new features to The Client Space is the Design Slideshow. Before you can take advantage of its capabilities, you first have to enable the Design Slideshow setting from your settings tab. Inside the client interface, any folder that contains JPG or PNG images has the option of being presented in a design slideshow. Simply click on the link to that folder, choose an alias, or a shortcut URL, and you're set. You can now browse that folder using the Design Slideshow option.
